Hello, Brave New World
01 July 2020
A couple of years ago I decided to throw out my homebrew CMS, which was more trouble than it was worth, and migrate to something that was a little less troublesome to update (in what is probably a misguided hope that I'll write more content that way).
Two years later, the server I hosted my website gets an upgrade and having rebuilt perl and installed all the modules that my site depended on, it insisted on segfaulting whenever I tried to load a page.
If that is motivation to scap the CMS, I don't know what is.
I've learned a lot about GraphQL and React since I grew frustrated with my attempt to migrate to Gatsby and have dusted the old attempt off and added pretty much all the features I wanted from it.
It is mostly tidying up around the edges and writing a nicer stylesheet that I need to do still.
