It has been removed in the current editors draft, and will be updated in the public draft shortly.</p>\n</blockquote>\n<p>The topic has also stimulated some <a href=\"http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2007Apr/thread.html#msg15\">discussion over this section of the spec</a> and there are now people <a href=\"http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2007Apr/0016.html\">pushing for a stronger stance</a> against the use of text/html for XHTML 1.1.</p>\n<p>This is, in my opinion, a good thing. Most of the benefits of XHTML are lost when served as text/html, so the less we see of it the better.</p>","frontmatter":{"slug":"xhtml11.html","title":"Return to the question of XHTML as text/html","url":"/blog/2007/04/04/xhtml11.html","date":"04 April 2007"}}},"pageContext":{"url":"/blog/2007/04/04/xhtml11.html"}},"staticQueryHashes":["2817829322","3649515864"]}
